So I was googling to see when the hell it's coming back on, and apparently not until 2014.

But am I the only one who thinks it should've just been canceled? Two of the actors didn't want to be in it anymore. The show really lost its focus on season two, and kind of came around in season three but not... really. At times it felt more like a sketch comedy.

I love the first season of Community, and a lot of the other episodes were great as well. I just don't understand the point in dragging the show on like this until it finally gets canceled.

Nope, I'm with you. Should have just let that show go. And I say that as a pretty big Community fan.

I just don't understand the point in dragging the show on like this until it finally gets canceled.

Allows everyone involved to keep getting paid. And that's nothing to sneer at, especially when you move down below the leads to the crew etc. From an artistic perspective, yes, it should have ended. But I'm never going to begrudge someone if they want to keep a show going because that's how they make their money.

I'm actually a little curious to see what the season will be like, Harmon will be back but we'll be missing Pierce and a bit of Troy (Troy is supposedly going to be in a few episodes?) I'm honestly not sad about Pierce but Troy not being there does raise a red flag to me.

Still, it could end up being good. And in any case it made sense for NBC to bring it back, Community is in syndication now and syndication is lucrative for networks, this is why sometimes shows that have been on for 3-4 seasons are more likely to be renewed then a show that has been on for 1-2.

Shows coming back midseason is nothing new either, and NBC really needed a comedy to come back considering how many shows they cancelled or ended. The amount of new shows coming out right now is ridiculous and hard to keep up with.

Don't really know how they're going to make Community without Troy and Abed In The Morning. S4 was baaaad so I'm not really anticipating S5 with high expectations. I just hope they don't do too much Annie/Jeff shiptease (it grosses me out).
