Having been cheated on, I find infidelity a deal breaker, even in my fiction. I never liked Gwen on Torchwood for this reason, her early on cheating on Rhys. There's no reason for cheating. Ever. If you're not happy with someone, break up with them, don't fuck someone else. I never fully warmed up to Rose on Doctor Who because she wouldn't just fully break up with Mickey and kept flirting with everyone else across time and space. I haven't gotten far enough along in Farscape yet to catch your reference, though.

Yep. That was the final brakes of NOOOOOPE on me ever liking her. Like, it was bad enough to cheat, but drugging him to confess to make HERSELF feel better, was the utter line crosser for me.

I just couldn't like her at all after that, when I'd liked her quite well enough up to that.

I didn't like it either but most of the other characters were also such fucking assholes that I eventually realized that I hated them all equally (except Tosh. she was okay most of the time. she had her moments though and I haaaaated that they had her in love with Owen)

OMG Same, I had trouble with Rose at times because she just seemed to disregard other people's feelings in order to do what she wanted, and this wasn't just in regards to Mickey but also in how she'd treat her mother.
