Are you actually faceblind or just bad with faces? I hope that doesn't sound condescending or rude. :X Either way, who are some celebrities that stand out to you?
pantswarrior: Dr. McCoy looking good in a t-shirt. (de is hot)

Let's put it this way - I am a HUGE Beatles fan, have been for twenty years, and when I see pictures of them in their early days, when they all had the same haircuts? I can't tell them apart. Not only that, but my mom came into the store where I worked once and I didn't recognize her until she greeted me. My MOM. I have also failed to recognize my brother and a few cousins when they appeared somewhere I wasn't expecting them to, and occasionally THOUGHT I saw my mom at the store and then realized it wasn't her.

At said store, everyone wore uniforms, but since I've learned to adapt over the years, I could tell my coworkers apart by slight differences in their build even if I couldn't see their faces, even at a distance. I couldn't tell you what any of their faces looked like, though.

As for celebrities I can tell apart from each other, uh... that's a good question. I actually can't think of any off the top of my head, aside from De Kelley up in my userpic there - possibly because I've spent so much time staring at him. ;)

That is quite interesting! See I can tell faces apart but I am horrible with names. I lived with 3 people for a semester and could never remember their names. I knew several girls for four years while in college and forgot their names all the time.

Names I'm okay with... I used to think I was just incompetent and stupid. Like there was that thread I think yesterday about "your most embarrassing moment" - everything I could think of was me mistaking one person for another, most prominently my parents or my girlfriend (of nine years, who I was unable to pick out of a crowd awhile back because she was unexpectedly wearing a hat). There were these two girls in my grade when I was in elementary school who both had shoulder-length curly blonde hair and I wound up being mocked repeatedly when I could never tell which was the one in my class in a given year, even after years of seeing them both around...

Then a few years ago I found out that faceblindness is an actual condition, in fact commonly tied to Asperger's - and well, both my mom and youngest brother have been formally diagnosed, so the genetics would seem to be there to account for it. Not that I feel any less stupid or incompetent when it causes problems, but I at least can go "Yeah, sorry, this is a known problem for me."

I also just thought of another celebrity I can usually tell apart from others, and that's Michael Richards, but that may be mostly because he looks approximately the same and has the same unusual mannerisms in every role I've seen him in.
