That is a bit of a pickle, OP. But you know you don't actually have to play with people or talk to stranger in an MMORPG. Yeah people are there with you in the game, and you all can work together on an event or whatever, but it's not like you really have to speak up to participate.

And maybe if you bite the bullet and start playing you'll either get more comfortable chatting with strangers in-game. You never know.
