I've had a LOT of fantastic, thoughtful reviews on FF.net and made lasting fandom friendships through talking about fic. If I'd started on AO3 first, I wouldn't have any of that, because no one leaves comments on my AO3 fics. Sure, there's the occasional cringey review on FF.net, but in my opinion, it's worth it.
