Well, for example a girl's been found in a Roma camp, and nobody's mentioned it even though there's, you know, actually information. Meanwhile they keep posting urban legends found on snopes about kids who aren't actually missing, and often the posts they're sharing make it... kind of obvious they're fake to begin with.

And there's nothing wrong with breast cancer awareness. It's when people say things like "if you care about breast cancer awareness, post the color of your bra!" That irks me. So my point is that people will share things if everyone else is doing them, but they're hesitant to otherwise.

Gotcha. The bra thing is stupid. I've actually seen posts about the girl kidnapped by the Romani (that's how I first heard about it) and it's been shared. But not as much as other stuff, you're right.
