man, i get tired of people comparing these two, they're really not particularly similar musically.

fwiw as for the actual secret: i'm not casual at all and i still love marina, so there you go, anon. music taste is incredibly subjective. i think it's pretty crappy when people dump on others for their favorite genre or artist, no matter what it is.

plus a lot of people also judge marina based entirely on electra heart and like to forget entirely about family jewels, which is far and away the stronger album.
