When something I've read pisses me off, I write a version of it I like. I've written my own little rebuttals to everything from "Petaybee" to "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God". (Granted, my response to the former turned out to be complete crap, but at least I tried.) Even if you're not a good writer, I think at least trying to create a response can be a useful exercise for venting your frustrations. (And sometimes, dealing with issues the original work swept under the rug can actually make it possible for you to enjoy the original work again!)

This is an excellent idea. I also headcanon a lot of stuff away sometimes. :3 Also just... stay out of fandom? If you find something you like, DON'T LOOK IT UP. Just enjoy it by yourself.
