OP, forget all these people saying 'eeeverything is promlematic'. Nothing is perfect, but popular syndicated white bread TV shows are always going to cater a lot more to prevailing cultural attitudes and ids - complete with being really shitty on a lot of different ism axes - than other media. Read some books! Read N K Jemisin. Watch Elementary. Watch movies. The fandoms may be smaller, but there is a TON of media out there worth loving that doesn't even come CLOSE to being as stuffed with shitty anti-woman and otherwise gross attitudes as the shows you are mourning.

I think most things are problematic, but of course there are some things way more problematic than others, and I wish there was more live action scifi/fantasy that wasn't, but unfortunately big budgets require fairly mainstream thinking. Your points are totally valid, and we need to seek out more of the stuff that doesn't suck.
