But that's not about the actual shipping, but their attitudes. As long as you follow the rule "I will not hurt real people over fictional characters", you're usually pretty golden.

And tbh the people who start the 'if you ship this you're -insert insult here-' (and 'if you don't ship this you're -insert insult here-') stuff don't deserve the attention and wank they so clearly want.

I can barely believe that kind of shit happens, but I know it has to, I just haven't experienced it. I feel bad for anyone who has. Fandom should be fun, but so often it becomes frustrating instead.
