It's not uncommon to not care about the smut. I'm there for the characters, but after a while, the sex just gets boring. It doesn't mean I'm dropping out of fandom, just means I skip more sex scenes I guess. Sometimes they just burn you out with their samey same sameness.

It's always been the least interesting aspect of shipping for me. I'm only really interested if it says something about the characters and how they relate to each other, not just generic tab A/slot B word cruft.
