Eren/Levi is pretty much the only pairing in SNK I really hate, and of course it has to be the fandom juggernaut.

I actually kind of like Levi/Mikasa (I'd prefer it if Mikasa was aged up a bit), but, yeah, I can't really see Levi having romantic feelings for Eren, and Eren is just one of those characters who is sort of unshippable for me. I'm not really that into Eren/Mikasa or Eren/Armin either. I just don't see him being romantically compatible with anyone in the series.

Yeah, I agree with you on that.

Having a yaoi pairing be the most popular pairing in a shonen is not unusual, it's to be expected. But I find it strange how people latched onto Levi/Eren. I don't really see the appeal. Age difference aside, most I've seen from the fandom turns Eren into a submissive uke, which is not my cup of tea. And as far as canon goes Eren still seems emotionally immature.

As far as yaoi goes Erwin/Levi seems like it has a whole lot more potential imo because they have a history that made Levi so loyal to him.

I can't really ship Eren with Mikasa because I hate his inferiority complex towards her. He should be proud of her for becoming so strong but instead he just acts bitter or dismissive when it comes to her concern over him. He doesn't want her to worry about him, and yet he is constantly in danger. It seems very unfair towards Mikasa.

I think Eren's best relationship is with Armin probably because he doesn't feel as threatened by him and Eren feels that he is someone he should look out for. Also Eren never bites off Armin's head (figuratively) whenever he shows him concern. But I still think Eren needs to become more emotionally mature before I can ship him with anyone.

I like the potential for Levi and Mikasa relationship, not necessarily in a shipping sense (at least until she's older) but because I think he'd be a good mentor for her and also because she is one of the only people besides Hanji or Erwin that is not intimidated by him. I liked their interaction in the female titan arc. Plus they would make the most epic mentor/protégé combination ever.

Is anyone else picking up that Levi doesn't really like Erwin? I mean he trusts him enough to follow his commands, but I still get the feeling he doesn't like him. Like when he points out how many people died because of Erwin's plan.

(not that hatesex would discourage shipping, i'm just talking in the show)
