Don't worry too much about writing everything perfectly. Forget about little typos and grammatical errors. NaNoWriMo is about getting words down. Editing can be done later.

And even though you have the story outlined, don't be afraid to free its reins a bit. Perhaps you find out 20 000 words in that the story just doesn't fit the way you planned it. Try out something else! Let the character go left instead of right. Let it be rain instead of clear skies. Just play around a bit!

If you have problems getting motivated or just can't get the words out, try out things like Write or Die (http://writeordie.com/) or Written? Kitten! (http://writtenkitten.net/)

And don't stress too much! Whether you get to 50 000 words or not doesn't matter. Try to jot down as many words as you can and at least now you've begun on the story.
