Most of what I know about this show is from Tumblr as I've only managed to watch four episodes so far, but I still dislike this pairing for some reason I can't define.

Maybe it's the power imbalance? The sudden outburst of shipping was when Eren was chained to a pole and Levi was kicked the shit out of him. Eren admires him. Though there is no romantic feeling on either side towards the other, but it gives off dominant/submissive vibes. I guess a lot of people have a fetish for that kind of thing, but it squicks an equal amount of people too.
