Mr. Humphries from Are you being served? Though the show never directly said it, it was implied that he was gay. Not to mention there has never been a more camp character on the history of television as him.

Do you mean "gay" as in "not-straight"? Because there are a lot of characters that I consistently think of as bisexual, but outside of canon gay characters I don't know if I can think of any specifically gay.

I see this thread going well.

lelouch is bisexual and i ain't even gonna listen to anyone argue otherwise.

He doesn't go for CC and is all of Suzaku.

No way the guy is bi.

Agreed. Unfortunately, even though I ship Suzaku/Lelouch, I get really hetero vibes from Suzaku.

Anyway, Kanon and Nina are definitely gay.

Alex Cabot and Abbie Carmichael (from SVU and Law & Order, respectively). I know they both dated guys in canon, but somehow I can't picture either of them as bisexual. I think of them both as lesbians who've dated men for the sake of appearances/their political careers and because they were lonely.

I also think of both Olivia Benson and Rafael Barba as bi.

Dio Eraclea from Last Exile. I could say Lucciola too, but I think he may be just Diosexual.

To me that was Lorne from Angel. Couldn't really see him as straight. In my headcanon that was part o who he was banned from his home.

Light Yagami from Death Note.

I honestly and truly believe in a non-fangirl way that Light as written gay. "Straight by default" just does not in any way apply to him.

I see him more as being asexual. He doesn't seem sexually interested in anyone.

The person he admired the most was L, and that was because of his intellect. If L was a girl, I feel like he'd feel the same way.

I... never thought about the sexuality of most of the Pern characters except as far as no, butt-sex does not magically turn riders or anyone else gay. But now that I am thinking about it, I see Robinton more as pan. Also, the color of a person's dragon says diddly-squat about their sexuality/level of promiscuity, so there.

Rose Lalonde and Dirk Strider from Homestuck. I'd say Kanaya too but I don't like it when those labels are applied to trolls.

Aoi Asahina from Dangan Ronpa. Note: I haven't played the sequel or watched the anime, but that one scene where she tries to 'practice' with Naegi and fails so hard pretty much sealed it for me. Sakura on the other hand, is bi. They are in love.

Those two biker dudes on route ten (I think?) in Pokemon Black/White.

On that note, there are so many Nurse Joys and Officer Jennies in the Pokemon anime that at least one from each group has to be.

Elliot from Scrubs. She denied it a LOT over the course of the show, and it fits with how repressed she is about sexual things. Other characters in the show suspected it too, including her own mother. I didn't see the last season and the finale, so that doesn't really count, OP asked who we consistently think of as gay.

The Death Note discussion above made me think of Near, but that was influenced by a fic rather than canon. And Mello and Matt are bi/pan.

Luck Gandor from Baccano!, again influenced by fic.

Tasuki from Fushigi Yugi.

Cecil from Night Vale, I'm pretty sure that's canon though.

Cutler Beckett from Pirates of the Caribbean. Here is my logic: everyone else had sexual tension with Jack and Elizabeth, but he only had it with Jack.

Glinda from Wicked, bookverse. Probably bi in the musical.

Chel from Portal, because I can. Actually, every player character in every game ever where I get to project my own personality onto them. Even the real people-based leaders in Civilization. Especially the leaders in Civilization.

*Mute from Analogue: A Hate Story/Hate Plus. (And my player character, as mentioned above, but not *Hyun-ae. And all the canonically gay characters, obviously.)

Probably Libby from Sabrina the Teenage Witch, the live action series.

Definitely Courtney from As Told By Ginger. Maybe Carl, too.

Beth and Cocoloo (or however you spell it) from Puchi Puri Yuushi.

eta - GASTON. Nobody who is into women would just ignore three hot triplets who really want to have sex with them. He wants to marry the most beautiful girl in town (I mean honestly it's Belle vs the triplets I think the only standard for most beautiful is that she has brown hair?) because it's the perfect cover story. Dude is constantly proving his manliness and have you seen his antler collection? Yeaah.
