I don't accept any Silent Hill that isn't 1-2-3 or Shattered Memories.

I see the problems with it, but I do think The Room captured the horror of the series well enough to be included, unlike the most recent installments and their WOO WOO JUMP SCARES!!!! ...Yeah, because that's what we play SH for. Jump scares.

Ugh, Homecoming had so much potential, too, and they squandered it.

SH4 was fucking terrible. I was willing to accept it as a fluke until I saw the early screens for SH0 and I instantly sprouted a beard which flared in anger.

Naw naw naw. Sure, the whole second half of the game might have been a write-off and the escort missions were not a thing the series ever needed, but slowly having The Room invaded put it over the edge into worthy sequel.

Origins was just hilariously bad and unscary, however.
