When they hugged in the movie, I was like "okay, I'm looking for fic." Then I tried to start reading it but it's just too close to my childhood to enjoy.

I saw a gif of The Hug™ before seeing the movie and walked into the theatre expecting to see a reason to ship it. I got one. (And yes, as someone above has said, it's very much "Two people who don't get on but eventually get over it and become friends" thing.)
