Don't lie. They weren't that witty.

It was more like Improbable Fight Scenes: The Movie.

Or Limited Character Development.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-30 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Or Undoing the Actual Character Development Of The Previous Films Because We Are In Love With The Idea Of "Cool".

(Anonymous) 2013-10-29 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I laughed at the one-liners and enjoyed the action.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-30 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Congratulations. That doesn't make it a good movie.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-30 07:46 am (UTC)(link)
A movie's ability to entertain does not make it good?

Okay then.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-30 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't you understand, anon? It's not high-art, so clearly it's not a good movie.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-31 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Its a superhero movie. Marvel superheroes are KNOWN for bad one-liners. Wtf did you think you'd be watching?

(Anonymous) 2013-10-30 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
LOL. The only really good part of the movie was the big fight scene at the end. Good? Nah.

Because Nolan's Batman trilogy doesn't exist. Yep.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-30 08:09 am (UTC)(link)

Only one if its movies was rated as good, but that was just because one of the stars died after making it so it got extra kudos.

The Nolan-verse Bat series were:
Movie One: Yet Another Origin Story For People Who Lived Under A Rock For Five Decades.
Movie Two: The One Where the Gibbering Guy Died So We've Got To Say It IS Good.
Movie Three: The One That Made You Wish You had The Schumacher Bat-Nipples Back Because It Was Less Of A Confused Mess.
Movie Four: The One Which Made you Ask "Wait, Why is Batman Flying Now?".

are you drunk? Avengers was so generic I can barely remember anything that happened in it

(Anonymous) 2013-10-30 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Were you drunk when you watched it, maybe?

(Anonymous) 2013-10-31 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
boo fucking hoo, it was boring

(Anonymous) 2013-10-31 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
I'm just saying your memory loss concerns me, anon.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-30 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
Agreed. And I'm a Joss Whedon fan, but I just don't give a fuck about the Avengers movie or the SHIELD show. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. turned out to be a particular disappointment since I had really hoped that my preference for TV over movies would shake me out of my apathy. The only one I give a shit about on that show is Ming-Na. Everyone else is so plastic.

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD otherwise known as "Paid for by the NSA to explain why mass surveillance and indefinite detention without trial is actually a cool thing" and sponsored by The Campaign to bring back Fridging (because holy hannah, Skye needs to be fridged but good).
