They also picked some rather ugly actors like Jeremy Renner and whoever plays the Hulk. And the guy who plays Coulson isn't just boring looking (which is fine for a character like that) but people seem obsessed with him.

Geez, kid. Older does not mean ugly. I'll give you that Renner's face takes some time to love, but Mark Ruffalo is a very attractive man.

I'm not sure what's more confusing here, the fact that you think Mark Ruffalo is ugly or the fact that you think Bruce Banner is supposed to be particularly attractive.

I like what they did with Bruce. His character isn't supposed to be ~hawt, but more focused on his personality and struggle. He still looks pretty decent, but it's not the main focus.

But yeah, I agree, if they casted him based on looks first, that wouldn't have worked out so well. He's no Tony Stark ladies' (and gentlemen's?) man.

Huh? Mark Ruffalo plays Bruce Banner. I was talking about the guy who plays the Hulk.

...that would be CGI.

Mark Ruffalo also plays the Hulk. Motion capture and CGI. Good try, though.

Also very good CGI. You can see Mark Ruffalo's features in the Hulk's face.

I know, right? The only reason to watch a movie is because the actors are attractive. What else is there?
diet_poison: (Bruce Banner - green)

attractiveness is subjective etc.

I think both of those guys looked just fine, Bruce is my favorite character, and the internet was obssessed with Jeremy Renner for a little while after the movie came out. So you might not like it...but it worked.

You win for using a Kimi Raikkonen gif

Even though the movie bored me.
