YOU KNOW WHAT ANNOYS ME JUST AS MUCH? Those fake magazines on Tumblr with interviews from the Avengers. I can see Tony, Steve and maybe Bruce or Thor giving interviews. But why the fuck would Natasha or Clint give interviews AND especially do photo shoots. They are spies and do undercover work. Pretty sure being on the cover of Time Magazine is going to make you noticeable.

I think the notion there is either (a) after the Battle of New York, and all the inevitable YouTube videos from idiots with smartphones and no self-preservation instinct, their cover is pretty much already blown, or (b) Natasha's enough of a Master of Disguise that you won't recognize her anyway and if somebody manages to see Clint when he's on the job, he's already fucked up.

I don't recall Natasha really being around a lot of civilians during the battle. And she was moving a lot so I doubt they could get any good videos.

I'd like to think villains in MCU would have some facial recognition software.

All it would take is one shot of her, even from a distance, and her cover would be COMPLETELY blown, and I would definitely buy that her response would just be to change her appearance a little more drastically in the future.

It wouldn't take much - in general, unless you are really familiar with a celebrity's face or looking for them, you wouldn't notice them walking down the street even when they pass right by you, and that's when they do absolutely nothing to change their appearance.

And Clint didn't seem to be the "go undercover" type, much, anyway...?

Well, technically Natalie Rushman had done modeling, but yeah. That's not the same as Natasha Romanova doing photo shoots.

Ha ha, one of the Marvel Big Bangs talked about this. XD It's probably not your thing (being that it's C/C), but basically most of the Avengers did publicity for damage control and Clint+Natasha pretty much sidestepped the entire thing.

Clint/Coulson? Is there any whump of Clint? That has sort of been my thing but I don't know where to start but I wanna read Clint whump fic so much. ;_;

No whump that I recall. It was a partial-AU, and it was billed as a romantic comedy.
