And yes, trigger warnings have gotten out of hand. I would love to take some of those people and let them speak with people with actual triggers.

That actually makes sense. And I'm glad I now know a better definition of stressor than 'event that acts as a catalyst for a bunch of serial killing', which is what 8 seasons of Criminal Minds has taught me.

Thank you for this link. The people who react to stressors and go around screeching about how they were triggered make it so much harder for people with actual triggers, because then everyone dogpiles and assumes that trigger warnings are useless.
