I used to have epilepsy, so I've done both the MRI and the EEG thing. The MRI was thankfully only twice, but I remember thinking that it wasn't as bad as I had feared. The EEGs weren't bad but they definitely triggered seizures, which yeah is the point but not fun. The thing to remember is that you are surrounded by professionals and really the best situation to have a seizure in if you do have one.

Hopefully your neurologist is right and it was just a random benign occurrence and so the EEG and MRI will just turn out to be annoying procedures and nothing more. Good luck!

Thank you very much for saying this, it's eased my mind somewhat about the MRI. And yeah, you are right with the EEG: no better place to have a seizure than in a hospital.
