I'm going to cautiously agree that trigger warnings have gotten way out of control over the last few years. Obviously, stuff like rape, incest, abuse, and such should have warnings. But for things like gum (there's no way that person wasn't some kind of troll or jokester) or something seemingly inconsequential,it trivializes legitimate concerns for those who do have huge triggers. Because then they're being lumped in with the "whiners" (et all) and stuff.

The problem is the SJWs. You get the same level of kudos and applauds for screaming about a trigger warning as you do for going out and spending 18 months volunteering at a rape crisis center or protesting a Republican anti-women conference. Actually, no, you get more pats on the back from the SJWs for screaming about trigger warnings than for the real work. It gives the lazy ass keyboard activists the warm fuzzies without the actual work. Or thought.
