Hey, I'm also a 26 year old woman. I think we all still want to grow up to be something regardless of age.

I keep meaning to play these games. >_< Ugh.

But on topic, so? You can still "grow up" to be like him. Age doesn't matter because we are constantly growing and I can't fathom why gender matters. So good news for you.

And well said!

No shame in that. I think it's important to keep growing and learning, even as adults. Finding you want to be more like Layton isn't a bad thing at all.

I'm not sure if he's a terribly good role model. Especially when it comes to parenting.

If Luke can do it, I'm pretty sure anyone's capable.

I am also a 26 year old woman, and I in no way think I'm grown. I'm still wondering how responsible adulthood snuck up on me. I think it's great to have something to aspire to, so go for it!

You still have lots of time to "grow up," if people really ever do that is. As I woman, I love tipping my imaginary hat to people, and being a gentlewoman. If you want to be a gentleman, go for it! Treat the people around you and your special person right :)

My mom is almost 50 and she still sometimes says she hasn't figured out what to be she she grows up.

It really is a lifelong process :)

I'm 27 and still trying to find myself. 'Sides, using Professor Layton as a role model? Couldn't think of a finer choice. :D

The fuck is up with that woman's eyes?

I love those games.

I hate the fact I have to act like I have a niece I buy them for so I don't have to deal with shit at Gamestop.

But those games are awesome. I hate they aren't planning on anymore after The Azran Legacy...also I need that game now.

Gamestop is lovely. Either you get treated like an idiot kid for buying games like this (even though the Layton games have some mean puzzles, especially some of the bonus ones, that I wouldn't necessarily have solved that easily when I still was a little kid) - and on the other hand, if you want to buy games where you blow people's brains out, they keep asking if I'm buying them for my boyfriend/brother. You can't win.

Yeah it seems as a woman you can't really win there. Either you get shit for being a "casual" or you get shit for pretending to be "elite"

Most of the time I just want to tell them to shove it I could probably kick their asses in most games. And here why don't you try this professor layton puzzle and see how much of an idiot you are.

Though there are a couple of great workers there but they never seem to be around when I'm buying.

I actually owned up to buying the Disney Universe Jack Skellington for me...and yeah that was just ugh. If I want to play stupid Disney games I can you jackass.

/end rant

lol I get carried away when it comes to gamestop it seems

I think it's also amazing how gamestop seems to be internationally awful like that. I also noticed it really depends on the store because often, the people working in a store influence each other and if one has good customer skills, the other will sometimes adapt to it.
In some stores though, it's also amazing how often they think they can sell you all kinds of bullshit because you're just a girl and girls don't know anything about technical stuff and games, right?
Though I have to say, I have encountered female staff as well who gave me the "elitist or baby" treatment. That was especially infuriating.

I used to visit one and the guy there tried pressuring me into buying a discount card, which was fine I get you're supposed ask dumb stuff like that, but he wouldn't let the issue go after I already told him I wasn't interested a few times.

My interest in video games has kind of waned though, so I don't really buy games all that much. I'd probably just shop online though.
