Nothing! My neighborhood does trick-or-treating the Saturday before Halloween and most people have their parties the weekend before, too. Some people go out to bars in costume on Halloween night, but it's usually not much fun if it's a work night. Honestly, this year it's like Halloween was spread out over several days and then sort of petered out the middle of this week. Stores have already shoved the Halloween stuff over and are putting out the Christmas things BEFORE ACTUAL HALLOWEEN.

I'm Canadian and we've seen Xmas kitsch in the stores since before Thanksgiving.
