Chocolate stuff, especially GOOD quality and/or dark chocolate (contrary to the Annual Candy Hierarchy), I did prefer dark chocolate even as a child). But most primarily chocolate stuff will do- Reeses, Rolos, Milky Ways, ooh or Peppermint patties. And chewy things like gummy bears (or worms or whatever shape), jelly beans (especially Jelly Belly) or licorice. I like black licorice, boo on haters! Just give it to me, you can have my Kit Kats and Butterfingers. And most of my non-Tootsie Pop lolipops.

Candy corn must be in moderation. It is extremely nostalgic but I don't want more than 3 tiny bags.

We have Dots downstairs and I haven't had any in ages so I have already stolen 3 boxes to eat at a later date.

Agreed with candy corn in moderation.

With you on the Jelly Belly / Panda Licorice. I will take those KitKats off your hands too.

KitKats are okay but I don't want a lot of them, and if there is decent quality licorice to be had instead, I would rather have that. I don't get the butterfinger appeal though. Unless it's like butterfinger ice cream with the tiny chunks or a McFlurry with those (do they still make those??).

Hmm not sure on the McFlurries but I am 85% positive DQ used to sell Butterfinger Blizzards.

Have you ever tried the "salted" licorice? The stuff of nightmares....

Salted licorice is tolerable as long as I know in advance that it's salted. If I'm expecting sweet licorice and get salted, it can be a cruel hoax. At least here in the States, you're quite unlikely to be in that dilemma though-- I only had the problem when I was at a party that had a big bowl of mixed mystery international candy. Still think I'd rather eat salted licorice than those Asian milk candies, bleaaaah!

AYRT

Since it's mostly only available at Bulk Barn here you have to read the signs very carefully. :-P Also it's apparently not even actual salt, it's some kind of noxious chemical that burns your face off or something.

By "Asian milk candies," do you mean the little blobs of much-boiled milk mixed with sugar and formed into little truffle-like shapes? Made by Indian bakeries, they're not wrapped/manufactured candies. Those things are like catnip to me.

It's ammonium chloride, iirc. I hear salted licorice vodka is really good- I've never had it but I like sambuca so it's probably not far off.

No, I mean the primarily Japanese/Korean manufactured hard candies that are "milk" flavored. They almost always have a cow or a little farmer on the wrapper. Those Indian treats sound much tastier.
