That would be really bad if it were a house or apartment where the landlord gets a set amount of rent rather than a dorm where you all pay separately to a larger organization. I'd be annoyed too though with the stuff left behind, and the space denied to those who needed it.

Also, cigarette smoke = ewwwwwwwwwww. I couldn't live with someone who was a smoker or brought one inside constantly. It would not work.

Yeah, that was the one plus side; that it wasn't a monthly rent-like situation, because otherwise we would have been in trouble.

Yeah. We had to keep opening the windows to air out the smell of smoke, and the constant heat shifts throughout the place fried the heater I had for my fish, and killed it. :(
