(Anonymous) 2013-11-08 03:21 am (UTC)(link)I've had both fellow Christians and atheists tell me that i'm not a real Christian, that i should 'convert' to atheism, etc. because i'm queer.
with the Christians, as much as they anger me, i can understand where they're coming from, because i was there once. but with the atheists - some of whom are queer themselves - that just baffles me. it's like, why the fuck do they care? why should they tell me what to believe?
it's made me wary of both Christians and atheists. but thank you for reminding me that there are many people out there who are not bigoted - but often we don't scream as loudly as the people who are.

(Anonymous) 2013-11-08 06:35 am (UTC)(link)Sorry to hear that, Nonnie, hugs if you want *hugs* my family was in general understanding/doesn't consider it their businesd when I came out to them, and one half of them are Christians and the other half are Muslims. But I know I'm lucky in that respect.
