I loved that season (I Just rewatched it yay) and I liked how they didn't instantly redeem him and he had to work towards it.

Ken is my all-time favourite digimon character because of that. Impmon's a close second. :)

I didn't watch season 2, but Impmon is my favorite antihero ever. He starts out completely pathetic, and then he becomes a genuine threat, and then he grasps what he's done and finally becomes something resembling a decent person.

Ken is one of my all time favorite characters, period. Gatomon is way up there, too. Thinking about her paws still makes me sad.

My favourite redemption arc ever remains that of Londo Mollari from Babylon 5. Perhaps because he was never quite made a 'villain'? Just a person, one who made a series of terrible choices with increasingly horrific consequences. His 'redemption' was realistic and didn't magically make everything better: it was a bleak, lonely atonement, unknown and unappreciated. Fully deserved, but very depressing.

Tbh, it sounds pretty similar to Ken's [...Don't remember his Japanese name, sorry] arch, which is awesome. I love when they go that route instead "MR. EVIL VILLIAN IS COMPLETELY EVIL!"

Man, I think Zero Two is a mess, but I loooooooooved Ken's story. I remember I was crying my little eleven-year-old eyes out when Wormmon died (and crying happy tears when they reunited.)
