My favourite redemption arc ever remains that of Londo Mollari from Babylon 5. Perhaps because he was never quite made a 'villain'? Just a person, one who made a series of terrible choices with increasingly horrific consequences. His 'redemption' was realistic and didn't magically make everything better: it was a bleak, lonely atonement, unknown and unappreciated. Fully deserved, but very depressing.

Tbh, it sounds pretty similar to Ken's [...Don't remember his Japanese name, sorry] arch, which is awesome. I love when they go that route instead "MR. EVIL VILLIAN IS COMPLETELY EVIL!"
