I'd rather they stan for her as opposed to some walking bag of shit like Cersei (which happens all over Tumblr and places like ONTD)

I agree that some Cersei stans take it too far.

But like Cersei is legitimately an interesting character.

Cersei's a very interesting character; I'm never bored with her. But she's an awful human being.

Cersei is one of my favourite characters purely because of how interesting I find her, but I would never advocate that she's a good person. Far, far from it.

I really wanted Cersei to be a bad ass manipulative villain and get away with all kinds of shit because it's fascinating to see someone like that in fiction/movies. But she ended up completely out of touch, going batshit trying slut shame her DIL, then getting the typical moralistic fate trope- punish the bad woman when so many men who are tens times a bastard never meet a fate like hers.

I was so disappointed.

punish the bad woman when so many men who are tens times a bastard never meet a fate like hers.

To be fair, Joffrey, Tywin, and Vargo Hoat all got pretty bad or humiliating ends. And though he's not necessarily evil, Theon arguably got the most brutal, dehumanizing, and sexualized comeuppance out of anyone.

Though I do agree, the Walk of Shame left such an awful taste in my mouth.

I like Dany but she's not my favourite female character. I have gotten side-eyes from people for liking Sansa more than Arya for some reason.

I can kinda understand the side-eye--Arya's appeal is much...simpler, I guess. More straightforward. She's tough and gutsy and has a strong sense of justice and she sticks bad guys with the pointy end!! Whereas Sansa is doing the best she can in a thoroughly shitty situation...and the skills she's gaining are skills of political maneuvering and the like, which are less respected skills I think. I love both of them, but they definitely have a different appeal.

I do like Arya too but I find Sansa's situation more interesting to watch, stuck in the middle of dangerous politics and unsure of how to proceed, like you said. I feel like it's also because I'd be more of a Sansa than an Arya in the GOT world, so I just relate to her more. And (this isn't another reason, just a side note) I like Sansa's dresses a lot. :D

I think Cersei is far more interesting than Dany and I like her because she's pretty awful. I can't help but side-eye tumblr for trying to woobify her or paint her as completely innocent/a feminist character, though.
