Re: Self-censoring swearing?

It's not always censoring.

I've just never been in the habit of swearing much because... why should I? When I do swear, it's usually reserved for really serious situations. Depending on my audience, I will occasionally use it for emphasis, but that's less a matter of me freely expressing myself and more of me trying to speak the "language" of the folks I'm talking to so they will understand. I don't have a problem with swearing and I don't get uncomfortable when other people swear a lot, but it's not as if profuse, casual swearing is some kind of normal, baseline way of speaking that people who don't swear so much are actively trying to avoid.
