(Anonymous) 2013-11-10 09:40 am (UTC)(link)Do some math, people. The Sandaime Hokage was about 20 years older than the Sannin. Jiraiya was around 10 years older than Minato, 15 years older than Nagato, and a full on 20 years older than Kakashi. Naruto is around 15 years younger than Kakashi.
Also: Yugito is not a teenager. She's Kakashi's age.
The only "council" there is is made up of Hiruzen's old team mates. The truly important decision are made in this order: Hokage, Jonin Commander, a vote by all of the Jonin in the village.
Most of the village is made up of clans. Uchiha? Clan. Hyuuga? Clan. Hatake? Clan. Sarutobi? Clan. Nara? Clan. Yuuhi? Clan. Haruno? Clan. Uzumaki? Clan. Umino? Clan. Shimura? Clan.
Sakura's parents are mother-effing ninjas. This is Kishimoto approved fact, people. Her mother is a former yankee (three guesses where Sakura gets her temper) and her father is still a genin.
Kakashi trained his students properly. I know, hard to believe. But remember that when they started out C-Rank missions were supposed to be about fending off non-ninja bandits; not ex-mist Shinobi of Zabuza's caliber. They're genin. At the time of their training there is no reason to be training them as hard as Kakashi was, at a time of war.
Naruto learned some shit during the training trip. He gets his ass handed to him (except not really, if you think about it) by S Rank missing nins - the only people in the world who have a breathing chance of taking down the Gokage.
Why does Naruto only use Rasengan in most situations? It is literally the most powerful shape manipulation technique out there. Why wouldn't he use it?
Naruto barely knows who Hinata is. And by the time she acts like an idiot and almost dies to protect him, the village as a whole is on the verge of treating Naruto like a hero. For reference, read the chapter where Ebisu has a flashback while Pein is holding him by the throat.
Kurama called Naruto gaki or Uzumaki or Naruto. Not kit.
