Re: To the people in this thread complaining about the lack of female-led TV shows

Thanks for listing the genres there, do you have anymore scifi ones? I've seen Orphan Black (and eagerly wait the next season), Haven I am googling and Coven is already on my watch list as soon as I finish Asylum.

...Are there any others? :/ Because otherwise the list is still tiny, especially if people have preferred genres. There is a large lack.

Continuum is sci-fi with a female lead.

Well, there honestly aren't that many currently airing sci-fi shows, but I really would recommend Warehouse 13. Agents of SHIELD is ensemble, but there is a fair amount of dealing with alien tech.

If you don't mind shows which aren't airing anymore, but are still fairly recent, there's Fringe (which finished it's run in January), though I would skip the last season.

Upcoming:
There's Resurrection, a show about previously dead persons who come back to life looking exactly as they did when they died. On August 4, 2013, it was announced that the series will premiere Sunday, March 9, 2014. Omar Epps is first billed, but I don't know if it's because he's lead or just best known.

Extant is a science fiction drama television series that will air on CBS. It revolves around a female astronaut (Halle Berry) who returns home to her family after a year in outer space. The series is expected to debut in summer 2014.

Believe is a science fiction/fantasy/adventure series due to be broadcast as part of the 2013–14 United States network television schedule on NBC as a mid-season entry. The series follows a young girl who was born with special abilities that even she cannot control, and as they start evolving, the people who are protecting her must turn to an outsider. This leads them to a wrongfully convicted death-row inmate whom they break out of prison. Although he is reluctant to take on the role as her protector, the two eventually form a bond that will guide them to helping others as well as each other while staying one step ahead of the evil forces that want the girl.
