Before you have fun with that, you should probably check to see if you're still under warranty.

Okay well, replacing a laptop screen isn't that difficult, but it does require a bit of planning. I do suggest you do it in as clean an area as possible to avoid the possibility of dirt or dust getting into the upper half of the case while the bezel and panel are removed.

What model laptop do you have?

Pavilion m6, which doesn't have screws for the panel so I'll be needing to carefully detach the panel from the adhesive.

Replacing the bezel is going to need new adhesive, probably (unless you can just stick it back on.) I suggest you get some E6000 glue just in case.

It looks like it's fine to stick back on, but I'll keep some handy just in case.

I'm most concerned about connecting the wires correctly, so is there anything I should watch out for there?

There should only be one, maybe two wires to connect.
