My high school zoology teacher.

I loved her class and it's the first class that made me think I wanted to study animals. It was the only class, besides band, that I didn't get bored in at all ever.

She was also really inspirational by demonstrating to me, through example and the way she lived her life, that faith and science don't have to be contradictory. That made a difference not only in my area of study but my entire life philosophy. And her lessons introduced me to some really important and interesting evolutionary concepts in the animal kingdom.

Your high school had a zoology class/teacher? I am impressed and jealous.

I was very lucky to have one. I went to a very large public high school (graduating class usually between 650 and 700) so we had a few really cool classes like that offered.

That's really awesome! I can't even imagine a class that big. My entire High School had maybe 300 people total, if that. Our classes were very basic.

Yeah, that's really different. I'm used to big schools though. 300 was about the size of the graduating class of my middle school.

That is wonderful. Have you gone on to study animals? If so, what major/degree?

I'm a zoology major. I like the studies (at least relatively so) but I will likely not work in this field.
