I figured it was an AU or something. If a publisher smells lawsuit they generally don't like to go forward. There are, of course, exceptions.* I figure you should do what your publisher thinks you should do. Deleting your fic would be on the safe side and is what fic writers who were published before you have done. On the other hand, it can be seen as a dick move. I normally don't write fic. I only write original stuff. So I've never been in your position. Taking other people's advice in this thread over mine would probably be the better idea. Anyway, good luck with your work. Maybe I'll even read your stuff someday.
