If some one is giving you shit for not falling all over yourself with feels and squees, fuck 'em. However if you're going out of your way to attack the artist directly or treating them badly for drawing something you find stupid, that's not cool either. This is a generic "you", not directly about the OP. Anyway I've seen some folks whine that some people in fandom "demand" they like something or they treat them badly... but often it wasn't about that. It was because those folks were actively mocking the artist, the art, and people for enjoying it. It's bad to be an ass if some one isn't squeeing over the same things as you, but it's also bad to mock people for enjoying something you don't.
