Came here to say "why not both?" essentially. I mean, of course I know the timeline of MCU releases means that there probably can't be both in the same time frame and that's what's causing "drama" but...I'd watch either because I like that universe. Also those two happen to be two of my favourite characters within it.

Though am also unsure if Loki would work without Thor showing up at some point. My favourite thing about The Dark World was every time they were on screen together.

I agree. I would like (good) movies with both characters, but Thor needs to be in a movie about Loki because those characters have such great chemistry.

I propose a Loki+Black Widow movie. It could be hilarious. I have no idea how this would work.

Not gonna lie, I ship it in a "this will never happen outside fanfic but I like how fucked up it is" sort of way.

Also not sure how an actual film would work but it'd definitely be hilarious.

I think the moment I first thought of it was when Natasha conned him so freaking perfectly in Avengers. It was beautiful.

...you wouldn't happen to have fic recs, would you? I suddenly really want to read about the two of them.

I'm at work right now with just my phone so not able to link easily :( But in a few hours will try to remember to link a couple I enjoyed recently.

I'm actually fairly picky with Loki/Natasha fic because I can't get over my mental block that it wouldn't ever be a normal loving relationship without it being horribly out of character for either of them. So a lot of the stuff I do think is good is a bit...weird. Or dark.

http://archiveofourown.org/series/58185 - Ready For the Siege (series) I originally encountered the second part randomly on LJ but it is worth reading the rest of the series. The author does warn for dubious consent.

http://archiveofourown.org/works/610512/chapters/1100012 - Instinct Blues. Odin changes Loki into a human and sends him to Earth as a punishment for his crimes in The Avengers. Natasha is assigned as his handler and has fun messing with him. I like this one because Natasha is the one in the advantageous position throughout.

There were a couple of others I'm struggling to track down right now but those two are a good starting point.
