But not everyone likes Loki. Sure a huge portion of fandom does, but he's just like every other character in existence in that there are people who loathe him. I like him too but he's a dick and sometimes infuriates me, and I don't think I could spend two hours watching just him. He isn't even the focus of the other films and by the end of TDW I was done with his manipulation. So...idk, I'm sure there's TONS of people who wouldn't care and would love such a movie, but I would gladly take the Window film instead; it's something different. (I also don't see why people hate her so much, but eh...to each their own. IMO she was just as good as the other Avengers.)

I like her and don't find her bland/boring as others seem to say. Each to their own. I also still like Loki, probably due to the fact I don't have a tumblr (going by some of these comments!) All this apparent fighting over who gets a film makes me feel weird, like I'm meant to choose who I like more out of two characters I like for very different reasons!

In the end I don't think the fighting matters much; Marvel will do what it wants. I WOULD say 'Marvel will do whatever makes it more money', because hey, that's how things go, but I'm not seeing how a solo Loki movie would work unless it was set before the first Thor. Even then it would probably be a stretch to not include Thor or Odin, etc.

You can like both characters; it's allowed!

I'm just going with Widow in this particular fight because Loki has had and will have tons of screentime in the future, and imo Widow deserves her moment in the spotlight. Plus I'm a bit irritated with Loki's storyline atm.

I'd like a BW movie so that we can see more of her character, I know that she's got a bigger role in Winter Solider, so I am certainly looking forward to that, but I would also love for her to get her own film too. Or heck, give me a Carol Danvers movie.

Yea, I think she deserves it. All the other Avengers sans Hawkeye have their own movies (well, Ruffalo didn't get a Hulk movie, but there were two in the past ten years I think, so to me that counts) and Widow and Hawkeye should get the same treatment. (It's been said a million times but I'd take a team up film if nothing else.)

My only concern is that she's played by ScarJo. Now, granted, she was adequate in this role, but I've seen over half a dozen ScarJo movies and never once ever thought, "Yes, this is an actress whose presence alone will captivate me for two hours."

I like her well enough as an actress. Scarlett will never be my favorite but I love her as Widow; I wouldn't want a change of actress. (Marvel's already done enough of that.) That's just me though.

She works as Natasha, but she gets overshadowed by other, stronger actors in the rest of her films. Just like Gwyneth really works for me as Pepper but I like very few of her other films. And I don't want any more recasting in MCU either.
