So much wank in this fandom is over stuff that's just... So stupidly easily solvable.

Don't like white/blonde/supernatural/whatever Cecil? Don't imagine him that way.

Don't like someone else's headcanon about (whatever character/thing)? Go get your own.

And yet, it persists, and people are absolute turds about it in every conceivable way. Get it together, guys! :/

Someone made that argument, the response was something like "Why don't shippers of non-canon gay couples just watch something with gay men in it?"
