Hm... didn't get that impression at all, though I'll admit I'm not quite sure just what it was the OP was trying to say there. But I don't think it was supposed to be insulting, just commenting on how people must have had a lot more than the OP, perhaps.

It sounded like they were saying that anyone for whom dropping fandom was such a major life-changing experience must have been pretty prolific, and they envy the ability to contribute so much to fandom that redirecting those energies gives the person that much more life success.
