Re: Haircut recommendations?

I have very fine hair, but there's a lot of it. It's also a bit wavy.

IDK about straightening or curling, the only hairdressing tool I've ever used in my life is a hairdryer!

My hair's already shoulder-length to start with, so I was thinking of a short style with side bangs, that has wispy edges that come out from the face. (don't know what it's called.)

Something like these:

I also really like this one, but it would probably make my nose look like a cartoon:

Having a lot of hair's good! Gives your stylist room to play =) I'd suggest stating straight-up that you want a fuss-free hairstyle... and say specifically what you want - to be able to let it air-dry, or do just a quick blow-dry, etc. I've found sometimes stylists have a very different idea from me about what's "fuss-free". =P

Judging by those pics you pulled, I'd say go for something maybe an inch or so below your chin - you can absolutely do a bob if you like, as long as it's a long one. Sideswept bangs would probably look great - just be careful with the length. Have them cut either short enough to widen your forehead a tad (above the cheekbones), or longer (between the cheekbones and chin) so they widen your chin a bit. Add lots of jagged layers and you're good to go.

I should mention: consider whether this is a style you can trim up on your own, or if you have to keep going back to the salon as it grows out - and if so, how often. Me, I'm both lazy and broke, which means I always pick styles that still look good as they grow out!

For whatever my opinion's worth, I think that Julianne Hough hairstyle you pulled out looks absolutely amazing, and really versatile to boot!
