I had absolutely no idea that Darcy was so popular until recently. I thought she was just this background character that was borderline annoying in Thor, but then I found out she has this whole rabid fanbase and it is mind boggling.

And I don't understand all the hate she gets. I think she's awesome and hilarious. And not in the "she's ME!" way, in the "she tazed Thor and I laughed" way.

Yeah, I don't get the hate either. I had no idea she would inspire such strong feelings one way or the other.

+1. Not everything she does is funny, but she can be pretty amusing and has her moments. That said she's also the kind of character I can see being more bearable in small amounts, so I can also understand some people's annoyance.

(Or, well, movie Darcy anyway. Everyone always complains about fanon Darcy but I don't care enough about her to read fic centered around her.)

She was in the first film. But the second? By the end of the movie I was groaning every time she made some one liner.
