And I feel like a lot of guys enjoy comics to vicariously live their immature power-tripping fantasies of being ~the chosen one~. Like why do you care so much about dismissing the reasons for women's enjoyment of comics as shallow or lesser?

A lot of those shippers spend a lot of time with meta, characterization, etc. because of their interest in interpersonal relationships and dynamics.

Tl; dw: THAT IS NOT VALID ENJOYMENT OF THAT THING I ENJOY OTHER FAUXFAN! I AM DEEPER AND BETTER THAN YOU. <- you sound like that. You enjoy comics partly for the pretension. No cookies.

How? Sometimes people of either gender enjoy things for stupid reasons but it only seems to matter when it's a woman's stupid reason.

1. Men's enjoyment can be generalized into a stupid reason too so why are you focusing on women?
2. Women's interest may not be as shallow as you personally perceive it to be anyway.
3. One of OP's stupid reasons for enjoyment is that they get to pretend to be better than other fans.

Perhaps I should have made it more clear that I was being sarcastic when I responded to a stereotype with another stereotype to point out the flaw in "OP's" secret in my first statement. Were the sarcastic squiggly lines not enough for you?

I wouldn't say that's very late? People often respond an hour or so later to conversations on F!S. It's only nine at night on the east coast as well.
