The transition from fanfic to original fic isn't as easy as you would think. Someone who writes truly excellent fanfic might write rubbish original works.

And of course blah blah hobby blah blah not everything needs to be for money blah blah.

Someone who writes truly excellent fanfic might write rubbish original works.

Honestly, I think this about most of my favourite fanfic writers who shared some of their original works.

One writes excellent poems, but we all know the odds of getting poetry published.
