I've smelled both of these things (dead animals, not humans), and no, no, no no no no nononono NO.
Menstruation doesn't even hold a candle to the stink that a dead body creates.
It's just a whole other level of "OH GOD!"

I can tolerate a period smell.
A dead smell will immediately make me start dry heaving and easily vomit.
It is the WORST thing I've ever had the misfortune of smelling.
Ugh.
