The thought of using tampons horrifies me, major major squick. So I don't use them. And they still exist for people who want to use them. Problem solved

Uh... what in my comment implied I was trying to convince you to use tampons? I was and still am mystified by the idea that tampons are for people with light, short periods. People should obviously use whatever they want.
