Lots of people here have made excellent cases without resorting to metaphor. Eh, I'm going for metaphor anyway.

It's not wrong to feel, "this is so good, you could be getting paid for your talent." But that also applies to every bit of craft and artistry out there. You don't think that someone who bakes an excellent cake and shares it with their family is wasting their talent, do you? Sometimes you just want to make cake and eat it with those you love.
