My sister and I bleed so heavily that we have to use tampons and pads at the same time. I've never understood the myth that tampons are only for light periods. And our periods last for half the month. Hers will go on indefinitely without medication.

This is not an attempt to convince you to wear tampons. Only saying that light periods don't automatically = tampons and vice versa, and I don't understand why people think that they do.

Yeah, I don't get this myth. Tampons are uncomfortable when my period is light

Randomly, I'd potentially recommend looking into menstrual cups to replace the tampons in your pad-and-tampon combo. It may or may not help.
